Short Bio

What makes you go wild as a business owner?

Which parts of your job are so frustrating because you do not like to do them, or do you find time consuming as you are not that good at it?

Which aspects of your function give you an enormous boost of energy, because that is what you like to do?

Throughout my career, I have been assisting entrepreneurs (from small, sole independents over managers and owners of SME’s up to CEO’s of multinationals). Every day again, I saw them struggle with the same challenges: getting their business organised.

Most of them were losing a lot of time on:

  • administration like making invoices, offers, paying suppliers invoices, preparing all documents for the accountant, following up your mails, handling phone calls, …
  • arranging small issues, like arranging an event and all that is related to it, solving the returning problems with your IT hard- and or software, orders being delivered too late or at the wrong address, …
  • trying to manage change and improvement projects on the work floor in between your other duties, wanting to find better/more reliable suppliers, …
  • misunderstanding their foreign business partners, as they do not speak a common language, or do not know how to handle the cultural differences, …

This all leaving less time for them to concentrate on their core business.

Wildt T&C wants to offer a solution to these managers and assist them in the optimal (re)organisation of their business.

Entrepreneurs that need assistance and/or advice on how to (re)organise their administration, finances and or logistics, digitalise their organisation, tackle the growth plan of their company, handle their international contacts (both customers and suppliers), implement an ERP-solution, … can contact and hire Wildt T&C.

After a first exploratory meeting to define the working points, Wildt T&C will work out a strategy with the entrepreneur (and/or his staff), and prioritise the actions to take. In a following phase, we will start tackling these action points. It is of utmost importance that these steps are taken together with the entrepreneur or someone of his company’s staff. The target is that Wildt T&C proposes solutions, trains the customers to use the new procedures and/or tools in such a way that the customers can work independently with this after a given period (3-6 months, a year, … depending on the project). Latest 6 weeks after all tasks have been handed over to the manager and/or his staff, an evaluation meeting will be planned to verify if the expected results have been realized, and if any further improvements are necessary.

My Portfolio

As a student, our class were sent out as pioneers in an exchange with ISELL in Liège.

Due to the positive results, I had the opportunity to go on an Erasmus exchange to HTW Dresden, where I also had my internship at the language department. I acted as first point of contact for all exchange students, because I already spoke 5 different languages at that time.

At MSC Belgium, we were able to grow from the smallest export department to the 2nd largest in 5 years, while maintaining the highest customer satisfaction of all departments. During this period I was key user in the newly developed software for the handling of dangerous goods, and taught my colleagues how to use it afterwards.

After 7 years I moved on to become business controller. In this role I developed an helicopter view of all departments, including expedition, imports, logistics and even business development. I had become the translator between work floor and C-level and headquarters, as well as between the operational, financial and IT departments. During this period I was one of the key users for the implementation of a new ERP program Business Unit 4 Agresso, and had turned into the encyclopedic problem solver for all departments.

While working at ITA, I was responsible for the reorganization of the warehouse, as well as the complete purchasing and logistic processes for arriving and outgoing materials to and from construction projects, all in relation with the roll out of Navision.

In this highly intercultural environment, I succeeded in making all different nationalities feeling themselves understood and appreciated.

In my last job for Proud Fashion AG, I brought the order back in the chaos. Orders were followed up closely again, resulting in reducing the late and incomplete or faulty deliveries from 100% to only 5% in 6 months time. This was only possible by setting up strict procedures to be followed by our foreign suppliers, and regularly speaking and evaluating with them based on the feedback received from our customers. All our Portuguese, Italian and Turkish suppliers have a very close relation with me.

During this job, we also had to answer to several questions from the Swiss tax authorities due to a tax audit on the 5 years previous to my arrival. Being able to answer on all their questions by digging out all unorganised information, and concluding the audit without any fines and a very favorable assessment, I owed the grace of the owner for ever. Whenever there the owner has a new opportunity, no matter if private or business, he will first spar with me before deciding.
