Inspirational sofa session: Learning Strategies in a Hybrid World

15/11/2021 @ 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM CET

In a world in ever-accelerating change, business management is no longer a matter of coping with the challenges that come your way, but much more of anticipating them.  Learning as Oxygen for the Nimble Organisation

This is only possible if you have the right people, with the right set of competencies and the right company culture, who can be deployed Nimble. This will require learning from employees in an intelligent symbiosis with machines to survive as an organization.

Katja Schipperheijn is an internationally recognized learning strategist, consultant and keynote speaker on learning and engagement in the connected world.

Before this, she worked for over 15 years with multinational companies, learning institutions and start-ups.  In addition to her work in corporate learning, Katja reached more than 15,000 children who attended her workshops on digital citizenship.

She is the author of The LearnScape.

As simple as the above may sound, it is not proving easy for many executives to respond to the ever-accelerating change brought about by technological evolutions. Engaging in intelligent collaborations that support a people-and-machine story is not on the agenda at many organizations according to Deloitte’s Human Capital report in early 2021. Only 7% of executives would focus on building this symbiosis where humans and machines support each other for the added value of the employee, the organization and society.

Katja believes in intelligent collaborations between humans and machines. She takes you into a world where we as humans find added value in our work through the help of technology. She actively searches with us for these opportunities from a positive approach where learning organizations evolve along with the ever faster technological progress. In her book, she describes the work environment as the place where innovation, data-centricity, ecosystem thinking, growth mindset, and employee engagement meet. According to Katja, it is the only conceivable organization to stay afloat in these unpredictable times.

A manifesto to place learning as one of the strategic pillars of business operations in the mission of the organization. Because in a culture where the growth mindset of the employees and the organization is important, learning provides the necessary oxygen. Katja guides you in your search for learning strategies that can be deployed agile in increasingly virtual worlds. She makes you think about a business climate where learning techniques are attuned to continuous interaction with the world outside, the ecosystem.
